On Saturday we bundled up and headed outside for a little backyard cleaning. Okay, actually it wasn't our idea but that of Cobb County Inspector #152- she thought our 'compost' pile of grass clipping and old Christmas trees were impeding the county water way. I think she forgot about the drought and the fact that we don't have any rain fall to wash away the clips, not to mention the fact that it was on our property and was mostly composted/decaying already. But being the good citizens we are, we decided to mulch the old trees and just cover up everything. We did scoop up the green clippings and gave the boys a lesson in civil compliance to the government, they had no idea what it meant, they just had fun filling bags and playing in the back yard.
Mommy even helped:

Cory taught a lesson in what to in a medical emergency, even sacrificing his pointer finger to show what a machete does when it misses it's mark on a tree branch.
