Robot Knees

Yesterday, my mom had knee replacement surgery. She seems to be recovering just fine and the boys are waiting to see her new robot knee as they call it. Since they wouldn't be able to visit her at the hospital, we brought them over to her house on Saturday to get in some Gammy time. As they were coloring pictures for her to decorate her recovery room with, we discussed what this surgery would do for Grammy. Micah liked the idea that it was sort of like having a robot knee and figured they might as well give her a robot arm just like Luke Skywalker. Caleb still only got the part about the hospital and excitedly asked if Grammy was going to have a baby, since that's all he knows hospitals are for. Luckily for every one, Grammy will be coming home soon with just a new knee.
