A Real American Hero

One of my wonderful quilting ladies called me up the other week and asked if we'd like to have her now teenage grandson's toys...uh, Yes! We drove off with the SUV stuffed with tubs and the boys have been thrilled with new things to play with. One of their favorite is the GI Joe set, which contains a Jeep, Head Quarters and millions of weapons. I thought that Cory and I were free and clear of Barbie and all her accessories...but Joe and his buddies have so many little knives, grenades, belts, boots, hats and stuff I don't even want to know about! (We will have to ask Uncle Matt to tell us what everything is when he gets back from serving in the Middle East.) My fingers are raw from turning the tight scuba suit right-side out over and over but the boys are having a blast with the whole thing and beg for GI Joe almost every day.
Of course Cory had to take the Jeep for a test drive first, and it's the most fought over part.
Look at all those little pieces! Good thing the Shark (vacuum) is right there so the threat of being swept up makes clean up time easier. The boys have mourned the loss of many Lego's to the Shark.Mass destruction in the kitchen but at least it hides all the food stains. We even have a hospital wing at HQ. This is Micah's favorite room to set up, maybe because he has seen the inside of more medical facilities than most four year olds.
